In November 2023, we successfully held the Skillify Digital Training Seminar in Zaria, where we set out
with the goal of empowering 3,000,000 Nigerian youths with crucial digital skills over the next five years.
Our focus was on addressing the growing education-employment gap by providing young people with
the tools needed to thrive in today’s workforce.
Looking back, we believe this initiative has taken us a significant step forward in boosting employability
and driving economic growth. We’re confident that through Skillify, we’re not just addressing the
employment gap, we’re preparing Nigerian youths to be leaders in the global digital space.
Empowering Nigerian Youth: Skillify Digital Skills Training in Zaria, Kaduna State
In November 2023, we proudly hosted the Skillify Digital Training Seminar in Zaria, Kaduna State, with an ambitious goal: to empower 3,000,000 Nigerian youths with essential digital skills over the next five years. This initiative is designed to tackle the widening education-employment gap by equipping young people with the tools they need to succeed in today’s competitive workforce.
Objectives of the Seminar
Our primary objective was to raise public awareness about the significance and value of digital skills in the modern labor market.
Attendance Overview
We were thrilled to welcome a diverse group of participants, with a total attendance of 350 individuals:
- Females: 154
- Males: 180
- Persons with Disabilities (PWDs): 16
Training Outcomes
The seminar successfully trained 350 participants in hands-on digital skills, and we are pleased to report that 135 individuals received post-conference mentorship to facilitate the practical application of the skills they learned.
Reflecting on this initiative, we believe it marks a significant step forward in enhancing employability and fostering economic growth. Through Skillify, we are not only addressing the employment gap but also preparing Nigerian youths to become leaders in the global digital landscape.
