Over 20,000 registrations and 5,000 Attendees trained at the oyo digital skills program held by Skillifyafrica Initiative.
The Oyo State Government, in collaboration with the Skillifyafrica Initiative, recently launched the Digital Revolution Training aimed at equipping the youth of Oyo State with essential digital skills. This two-day training program is designed to cover a wide array of virtual courses, including web development, online publishing, data analysis, and social media management, among others.

The Oyo state government on Wednesday began a two-day digital revolution training and empowerment program for over 5000 youth across the state.
The event, which commenced on October 3, 2024, at the University of Ibadan Conference Center, the state capital, attracted participants from various backgrounds, all eager to enhance their digital skills and knowledge.

Participants in the program are not only gaining theoretical knowledge but also engaging in hands-on projects that will bolster their employability and provide them with a competitive edge in the job market.
Insights from Industry Leaders
In his keynote address, Mr. Emmanuel Odah, CEO of Skillifyafrica Initiative, highlighted the significance of acquiring digital skills as a pathway to financial independence and personal fulfillment. He encouraged the youth to adopt the mindset of “tool sellers,” positioning themselves as solution providers who can leverage their skills to create wealth. Mr. Odah also led the first training session on web development, imparting practical skills that participants can apply immediately.
A Strong Commitment to Continuous Learning
Hon. Michael Ogunsina, the state youth leader and acting Publicity Secretary of the Oyo People’s Democratic Party, expressed his enthusiasm for the impressive turnout. He noted that the high level of participation reflects the youth’s eagerness to embrace the digital revolution. He urged attendees to commit to continuous learning and adaptability, recognizing that the digital landscape is constantly evolving.
The Digital Revolution program continued on October 3rd, 2024, with sessions focused on Digital Marketing and Artificial Intelligence, further expanding the participants’ skill sets.

The event was graced by several dignitaries, including Pastor Emmanuel Oluwafemi Okeowo (General Overseer, World of Grace Family Impact Church), Hon. Adebayo Babajide Gabriel (Ibadan North Constituency II), Hon.
